The Toy Industry Association ha aggiunto 5 categorie alla prossima edizione del Toy Fair di New York. L’obiettivo è di rendere più facile la vista per i visitatori stranieri. Le nuove categorie 2009 sono Action Figures; Educational Toys and Games; Science and Discovery Kits; Infant and Pre-school Toys and Accessories; Outdoor Toys, Play Equipment, Ride-Ons and Sporting Goods; and Youth Electronics, Tech Toys, Interactive Gaming and Robotica. Altre categorie verranno rinominate per renderle più facilmente traducibile, come ad esempio Game Zone che diventerà Board Games, Online Games and Puzzling, mentre Reading, Writing and Rhythm diventerà Children’s Books and Music. La 106esima edizione aprirà il 15 febbraio e durerà fino al 18, sempre presso Jacob K Javits Center di Manhattan.
