LeapPad Explorer è il Toy of the Year 2012

La Toy Industry Association (TIA) ha premiato, durante la serata inaugurale dell’American International Toy Fair 2012, i vincitori dell’annuale Toy of the Year. Consumatori, rivenditori, media e membri dell’industria del giocattolo sono stati chiamati a selezionare i migliori prodotti tra 77 finalisti per 11 categorie. Il TOTY 2012 è andato al LeapPad Explorer di LeapFrog Enterprises, un learning tablet per bambini tra i 4 e i 9 anni, vincitore delle categoria Educational Toy of the Year e Preschool Toy of the Year. Gli altri premiati sono stati: Lego Ninjago Fire Temple, di Lego (categoria Activity Toy of the Year); Hot Wheels Wall Tracks, di Mattel (Boy Toy of the Year e Innovative Toy of the Year); Angry Birds Knock On Wood Game, di Mattel (Game of the Year); Fijit Friends Interactive Figures, di Mattel/Radica (Toy Girl of the Year); Elefun Popper Busy Ball, di Hasbro/Playskool (Infant/Toddler Toy of the Year); Rockboard Scooter – Mini, di My Products LLC (Outdoor Toy of the Year); Angry Birds, di Rovio Entertainment (Property of the Year); Hexbug Nano Hive TM Habitat Set, di Innovation First Labs (Specialty Toy of the Year). I finalisti sono stati scelti, tra circa 600 prodotti e property, da una commissione composta da docenti universitari, giornalisti e toy trend expert, play therapist, inventori e designer di giocattoli e rivenditori specializzati.
