MGA Entertainment appoints Josh Southern as SVP Operations, EMEA

Josh Southern has joined MGA Entertainment as SVP Operations, EMEA, after three years at bp where he served as Vice President Strategy.

Southern is moving from the energy sector into the toy industry, describing the shift as a move from oil price curves and multi-year paybacks to a faster, creativity-driven business. “I’m excited to share that this week I’ve joined the wonderful world of toys at MGA Entertainment as SVP Operations, EMEA.”

In his new role, he will lead operations and strategic growth across EMEA, while also supporting the company’s global transformation efforts. “In my new role, I’ll be leading operations and strategic growth across EMEA, alongside driving global transformation.”

Reflecting on his time at bp, Southern said: “I’m hugely grateful to bp for the opportunities, experiences, and amazing people that helped shape this chapter. I’m proud of the impact I had there and wish the team continued success.”

He added: “The MGA Entertainment team has already been incredibly welcoming, and I’m looking forward to achieving great things together!”
